About Janet

Janet Rhymes, originally from Sydney, Cape Breton, is an outcome-oriented facilitator with twenty years of diverse consulting experience in Nova Scotia, throughout Atlantic Canada and nationally. A committed community development practitioner, Janet starts from a place of respect for those with whom she works. She is a skilled strategist, with experience designing and facilitating meetings, strategic planning and training. She has expertise in diversity, inclusion and cultural competence, and also excels in research, policy analysis and evaluation.

Constructing and hosting in-person and virtual meetings with results in mind. Certified facilitator of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods.
Strategic planning:
Facilitating processes to help groups visualize where they want to go and plan how to get there.
Public and stakeholder engagement:
Creating and leading processes that engage people in sharing diverse perspectives on meaningful questions.
Graphic recording:
Through See Meaning, creating storyboards that capture insights shared at meetings and events.
Diversity and Inclusion
Lead participatory learning and change workshops in cultural competence, diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias and gender, using adult education practices.
Evaluation:
Designing logic models and frameworks and completing program and project evaluation.
